Hi, my name is Christina and I’m a digital nomad.
I gave up the office job and hectic London life to travel and work on the road in September 2017. I’ve been called brave, intrepid, crazy, and young-at-heart. All I know is that I had had enough of commuting and being tied to a desk so I strapped on my backpack and swapped my high heels and office suit for my sneakers and a life on the road.
I’ve been a life-long traveller. I got on my first flight when I was 15 days old so it came as no surprise to those who know me when I told them I would be going freelance and making a living while travelling. I am by no means the first to do this and certainly won’t be the last. There is a growing number of digital nomads on the road, all of us making the most of a better-connected world, good WiFi, and flexible working.
What do I do?
I am a copywriter, proofreader, and environmental consultant all rolled into one. I continue to learn though my work and clients and always look for ways to give back. That could be through volunteering, supporting community projects and disadvantaged people, or helping others make their travel dreams come true.
Can this work for me?
The purpose of the site and blog are to give people a flavour of what a place is like and how I’ve navigated my way through it. It could help you prepare for a similar trip, a holiday, inspire you to plan, or help keep you sane if you are at your desk on a rainy day.
Who should read this?
Anyone! The emphasis is, at times, a little heavier on solo female travellers and those over 30-ish as there are fewer of us around and the challenges we face are a little different to those someone in their twenties comes across. But the site is here to inspire and encourage you to get on the road, no matter who you are, how old you are, how much time or money you have. I travel solo for the most part, but I am rarely alone unless I choose to be.

Feel free to ask me questions, leave comments and ideas of what you want to read about, or make suggestions on where I might go next or how I could tackle a problem differently.
Be well, be happy, and enjoy whatever adventures being on the road brings you!
