Footprints and memories - that's all you need!

We hear about responsible travel more and more, but what exactly does it mean? I’m convinced that no one sets out to do harm or hurt anyone or anything. But could it be that we are doing something that we don’t realise is harmful? Perhaps we just don’t think about the implications of our choices and actions?

Here are my top recommendations on being a responsible traveller

Responsible travel covers a lot of things. You could choose not to support cruel animal practices, or to support small businesses, collectives and social enterprises. It’s also about not being wasteful – creating rubbish that ends up on the side of the road instead of being properly managed. The more I see how different communities live around the world and what we do to our surroundings, the more I want to do whatever I can to protect our planet for others to experience long after I’ve returned home.
